Orion is a spacecraft developed by NASA for the purpose of human deep space exploration. It is designed to be used for missions to the Moon, Mars, and other destinations beyond low Earth orbit. The spacecraft consists of a Crew Module and a Service Module, and is launched on top of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket.

One example of a mission for the Orion spacecraft is the Artemis program, which aims to land the first woman and next man on the Moon by 2024, and establish a sustainable presence on the lunar surface. Another example is the Exploration Mission-1 (EM-1) which is an uncrewed test flight of the Space Launch System and Orion planned for 2022.
