ICBM

ICBM stands for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. It is a type of missile that is capable of traveling long distances, typically over 5,500 kilometers (about 3,400 miles), and delivering a nuclear warhead to a target on another continent.

Examples of ICBMs include

• the American Minuteman missile,
• the Russian R-36, and
• the Chinese DF-41.
